How do I renew my instructor card?

How to Renew Your Instructor Card
To be eligible for renewal, you must have taught at least 4 courses in the discipline during your 2-year certification cycle.

Step 1: Choose One of the Following Options

Option A: In-Person Monitoring
  • Schedule a monitoring session at the nearest RC Health Services Campus.
  • Alternatively, you may renew through:
    • Your employer, if they offer instructor renewals, or
    • The instructor who last renewed or certified you.
  • The person renewing you must be:
    • Aligned with RC Health Services, or
    • A Faculty member at your secondary Training Center (if applicable).
Option B: Virtual Instructor Renewal Course
  • Register using the links below (more dates will be added soon).
  • If you are not an RC Health Services employee, you’ll need to have your own equipment available during the virtual class.
  • RC Health Services employees can complete skills
Step 2: Complete the Required Assessments
For both in-person and virtual options, you must:
  • Pass the written provider exam for your discipline.
  • Successfully complete skills testing.
