Do you have to have an appropriate, current AHA Provider Manual in order to attend an AHA class? The short answer is yes, the longer answer is below:
The American Heart Association Program Administration Manual (PAM) states the following regarding Provider Manuals:
Each student must have the current appropriate course textbook readily available for use before, during, and after the course. Textbooks are designed for individual use and are an integral part of the student’s education before, during, and after the course. Students may reuse their textbooks during renewals until new science guidelines are published.
RC Health Services is an approved AHA Training Center and must follow all rules/regulations set forth by the AHA. The Provider Manuals are required for all AHA classes at all times. You must come to your course with a Provider Manual or you will have to either purchase one on site, or reschedule your course for when you have your Provider Manual available.
The Provider Manuals come in either the traditional hard copy book or the eBook. You may choose to purchase either format.
